My baby boy and his “pappy” – oh how I wish time would stand still and he would stay two forever!!
We cut a hole in his pacifier just after he turned two in an attempt to wean him off of it. I read and was told this was the easiest way to do it, because they would lose the satisfaction in sucking on a pacifier after it had been cut. But here we are 8 months later, and he still wants his “pappy”- which is his pacifier attached to a pacifier clip that is clipped onto his monkey lovey. And I am not even thinking about taking it from him!! Very rarely does it ever go in his mouth and 99% of the time it stays in his bed. Really only when we are going on a road trip or he is sick does it ever come out of his bed. But his favorite thing to do, his “comfort” is to hold on to his blanket with one hand and stick his finger in the broken pacifier. And it thrilled him when I let him get it out of the bed to take these pictures of him! he didn’t know if was for pictures, he just thought he was getting a special treat. He was leaning on the table watching Dora and I was able to get the shot I wanted of his signature “pappy” lovin’!
